FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – An Air Quality Action Day has been declared for Friday.

Our partners in news at 21 Alive report that state leaders say the decision to extend the air quality warnings that have been ongoing since Wednesday is due to Canadian wildfires.

Meteorologist Liz Braden says that new wildfires have started in Ontario, adding to existing poor air quality from fires in Quebec.
