Teen arrested after standoff

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A 17-year-old boy was arrested after a standoff on Kyle Road Monday afternoon.

The boy was charged with attempted murder after a shooting near Weisser Park last month left a person in life-threatening condition.

Our partners in news at 21Alive say the teen also faces two other felony charges and is being held at the Allen County Juvenile Center.

Back on May 20, police saw two cars speeding away from the 900 block of Colerick Street, and Monday, FWPD served the arrest warrant in the 5100 block of Kyle Road.
