Arlington Elementary To Showcase New Initiative At STEM Night

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Arlington Elementary School will become Arlington STEM Elementary School this fall as it implements the Project Lead the Way curriculum focused on science, technology, engineering, and math.

Project Lead the Way engages students through hands-on learning and real-world challenges that spark natural curiosity.

To give families and community members the opportunity to learn about the school’s new focus, Arlington will host a STEM Night from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at Arlington Elementary, 8118 St. Joe Center Road.

During the event, families will be able to:
• Learn about Project Lead the Way and the STEM curriculum
• Meet new principal Dr. Derek Leininger
• Participate in STEM activities
• Explore Arlington’s pre-K program
• Join STEM Q & A session
