Fire at Canterbury Green Apartments

Fort Wayne firefighters were called to a blaze just after 2 AM on Sunday morning at the Canterbury Green Apartments on Stonehedge Blvd near Northgate Blvd.  When they got there, they found heavy smoke coming from one of the buildings and evacuated 11 units surrounding the apartment where the fire had started.  Some residents had to climb down a ladder to get down from a second story balcony.  Once the fire was out, it was determined that the cause was a stove in one of the first floor units.
