Alleged Drug Dealer Arrested In Death of Roanoke Woman

After an ongoing investigation into a Roanoke woman’s death, police have busted the alleged dealer who’s responsible for providing her with the drugs that lead to her death.


According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, last November officers got a call about a woman not breathing. 33-year-old Annette Veach, was pronounced dead at the scene and her cause of death was determined to be morphine toxicity.


Thursday, the Huntington County Sheriff’s Department arrested 40-year-old Christy Oden, three counts of dealing in a schedule II controlled substance, a class B felony, and one count of reckless homicide, a class C felony.


Her initial hearing is scheduled for Friday and a bond has been set in the amount of $70,000.
