Ohio Domestic Violence Death Rate Up

OHIO. (WOWO) — Ohio’s domestic violence deaths just hit a 10-year high.

The Ohio Domestic Violence Network says 157 people were killed in the past year-up 37% from the year before.
Most of the victims were women, and most perpetrators were men.

In 40 cases, the incidents ended in murder-suicide.

WTVG Television reports that State senators from Northwest Ohio are now working on new custody laws to protect children in violent homes.
