FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — The Indiana Department of Transportation has been forced to cancel and postpone numerous road and bridge projects due to funding constraints, with over 300 projects being halted in the past year.

Priority initiatives have been affected, including a major interchange improvement project near Whitestown and the Mid-States Corridor project linking State Road 66 to Interstate 69.

INDOT is exploring tolling as a potential revenue source, with a tolling application submitted for Interstate 70.

…🤔

That’s a great idea! Indiana is so clever.
Another toll road, …masterful.

In fact! Maybe.. just maybe, we can come up with a means to have a foreign entity lease it! How great would that be!?
I can see everyone’s well-earned money trading hands, again!

…but, have our commissioners thought about living within their means?
Instead of ambitious planning, for unnecessary Highway expansions (like the Mike Braun Highway), maybe we could just fix what infrastructure we have?

Find a better way, Lindsay. Stop being everyone’s patsy.
