Victims Found in Yesterday’s House Fire Died of Gunshot Wounds

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are continuing to investigate the homicide deaths of two people whose bodies were found in a house fire yesterday morning. The bodies of 40-year-old Terry Lagrone and 19-year-old Desiree Sheets, both of Fort Wayne, were discovered in the house fire on Senate Avenue, near Hessen Cassel. Detectives have not confirmed a motive for the double homicide, but they do believe the occupants of the home were targeted. Lagrone and Sheets are the city's 24th and 25th homicide victims this year.

The house fire was called in just before 9:00 A.M. yesterday morning. The Fort Wayne Fire Department has determined the fire to be incendiary in nature.
