NEW HAVEN, Ind. (AP) _ A longtime northeastern Indiana lawmaker says she won't seek re-election next year and might resign early because of health problems.
 
  Republican Rep. Phyllis Pond of New Haven has served since 1978, often focusing on education issues.
 
  The 82-year-old former kindergarten teacher is on oxygen at all times because of pulmonary problems. She told The Journal Gazette she's still deciding whether she can finish her 18th term, which runs through late 2014.
 
  Pond says five or six people have contacted her about running for her seat next year. She says she won't endorse anyone in the race to replace her.
