ST JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) — A South Bend man has been sentenced for the October crash that killed 27-year-old pedestrian Adrian Antonio Cruz.
A judge handed Thomas McCoy the maximum one-year sentence for operating a vehicle with a high blood-alcohol level.
McCoy will serve six months on home detention followed by probation, including a 90-day license suspension and mandatory substance abuse treatment.
