Tax Sales Recoup Revenue

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Tax sales added up to about $789,000 in revenue for the Allen County.

The County Treasurer's office says the sale of 320 properties means lost tax revenue can be funneled back into local government.

The funds will go to local government, schools and the public library.

At this year's sale, 667 properties were offered for sale, with $1.7 million dollars in back taxes.

Properties that don't sell are deeded to the county.
