The Veterans National Memorial Shrine and Museum is launching weekly Sunday church services beginning this weekend.

Services will take place every Sunday at 10 a.m. inside Sterling Chapel, with worship styles alternating between traditional and contemporary Christian services.

Museum Chaplain Garrett Disinger says the effort has been years in the making and is designed to bring veterans together through faith and fellowship.

Disinger says for many veterans, faith played an important role during combat and continues to help with healing after returning home.

According to 21 Alive News, following each service, visitors are also invited to tour the museum’s War History Museum, open Fridays through Mondays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
