FREMONT, Ind. (WOWO): A 13-year old was killed in a Thursday night fire in Steuben County.

Investigators say Gus Larson was trapped in a second story bedroom and was afraid to jump from the window.

That’s where his body was found. Larson was an eighth grader at Fremont Middle School.

The coroner's office says Larson died from smoke inhalation and its ruled accidental.

It happened just before midnight and took firefighters about 90 minutes to control.
