Human Remains Found in Rural Franklin County, Investigation Ongoing

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Investigators are working to identify human skeletal remains discovered in a rural area of Franklin County.

Deputies were called to the eastern part of the county Friday after the remains were located.

The Franklin County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and brought in forensic anthropologists from the University of Indianapolis Human Identification Center to assist with the investigation.

Officials say the remains have not yet been identified and the case remains under active investigation.
