ELKHART, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana Michigan Power says restoration work is nearly complete following Thursday’s storms across the region.

The utility reports most remaining outages are centered in the Elkhart area, where crews have continued repairs overnight.

Officials expect all customers still without power to have service restored by Sunday.

Thousands of customers were impacted earlier in the week as strong storms moved through Indiana and Michigan.
