FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One man is dead after a Saturday night shooting.

Police got the call for help around 5:55 p.m., from a passing driver that noticed a man down. Once police arrived to the scene on E. Lewis near Francis and Hanna Streets, they found a man unresponsive in the roadway.

He was taken from the scene in critical condition to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A positive identification has yet to be made on the victim and investigators have yet to establish a motive for this apparent shooting. However, in the meantime, the incident is still under investigation.
