Legacy Projects to be Introduced to City Council

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A couple of different items will be introduced at Tuesday night’s City Council meeting concerning the use of Legacy Funds. The first is a contract between the City of Fort Wayne and SWA Group for a Riverfront Development Study that will cost just under $500,000. The study, expected to take at least a year to complete, will focus on land use, engineering and infrastructure investment, and flooding issues, and others. The second is a resolution to give funds for college scholarships and non-profit programming and calls for a total of $5 million to be allocated to the Higher Education Scholarship fund and the Educational Services Fund similar to an endowment.
