UPDATE: Child Fatally Injured in Accident Identified

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  A one-year-old boy fatally struck by a car on Saturday has been identified. Collier Holbrook, of Fort Wayne, was was hit by a vehicle on Hiawatha Boulevard, near Engle Road, and taken to Lutheran Hospital where he died just after 7:00 Saturday night. The cause of death was ruled by the Allen County Coroner as blunt force trauma; manner of death, an accident. Collier is the 27th traffic fatality in Fort Wayne and Allen County this year.

Police continue to investigate an accident that fatally killed a one-year old boy Saturday.

Just after 6:45 p.m., the child was struck by a vehicle, as family members were moving cars in a driveway on Hiawatha Blvd.

The boy was pinned underneath. First responders were able to free him from underneath.

He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
