Hundreds Pay Tribute to Fort Wayne Businessman, Dick Freeland

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Hundreds paid tribute Tuesday to Fort Wayne philanthropist and businessman, Dick Freeland. Indiana Governor Mike Pence and former Governor Mitch Daniels attended The funeral at the Chapel on West Hamilton Road, a church in which Freeland helped build.

He was best known for his affiliation with Fort Wayne Pizza Hut Inc., and served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer.

This year, he was also awarded Sagamore of the Wabash by Governor Pence.

Freeland passed away on Sunday, October 20th, he was 76-years-old.
