Man Injured after Falling into Hole near Construction Site

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man was taken to the hospital in fair condition after falling into a hole near a construction site.

Fort Wayne fire crews got a call to the intersection of West Main and Webster Streets around 1:30 p.m., Monday afternoon.

Once on the scene, they found the man stuck in the hole by soil about knee deep. Construction workers were already trying to get the man free and with the help of firefighters, they were able to get the man out around 1:45 p.m.

He was taken to a local hospital with injuries to his legs.
