Council Approves $30M Bond

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): City Council voted Tuesday to approve an eight-year, $30 million dollar bond for street repair.

The money is part of a 50 million dollar plan that will also repair sidewalks and alleys.

According to the News-Sentinel, the plan includes a backlog of about $9 million dollars in asphalt projects, $41 million in concrete work.

Twenty million of the funding comes from county income taxes and legacy funds spread over three years.
