YMCA Announces $2.2 in Donations

The YMCA is getting more than $2 million dollars for its branches around the area.

The bulk of the money, according to the Journal-Gazette, is a $1 million dollar donation to kick-start a $10 million dollar new branch campaign. The new YMCA will be built on St. Joe Road between Reed and Maplecrest.

The other million goes towards a matching pledge for an expansion project for an early learning center for school-aged kids at the Whitley County YMCA in Columbia City.
