FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A wanted murder suspect from Indianapolis has been taken into custody in Fort Wayne.

Thursday afternoon, the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit was contacted by Indianapolis Metro Police, about a murder suspect possibly being in the Summit City.

According to officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department, detectives were able to find a vehicle in question and conducted surveillance. During their investigation, a car left and the suspect, later identified as Mark Tyson Jr., was found to be the passenger in the car.   

He was taken to the Allen County Jail and is facing the following charges:  

1.  False Informing

2.  Warrant – Murder
