Fatal Crash in Paulding County

PAULDING COUNTY, Ohio (WOWO): One man is dead after a crash in Paulding County. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the 2-vehicle crash that happened just before 2:15 Thursday afternoon. The crash happened on US 24 at the intersection of CR 143 in Emerald Township. Reports say a vehicle driven by 66-year-old Harvey Bok, of Defiance, was going south and failed to yield the right of way while crossing US 24, pulling into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by 66-year-old Gary Lipp, of Paulding. Bok's vehicle was hit on the right side. Lipp and one of his passengers, 67-year-old Janice Lipp, were airlifted to Parkview Hospital. His other passenger, 95-year-old Karl Werling, was fatally injured. Bok refused medical treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
