Bluffton Man Airlifted After Off-Road Vehicle Crash

WELLS COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Bluffton man was airlifted after a 4-wheeler crash over the weekend. Friday around 5:00 P.M., state conservation officers investigated an ORV crash in Wells County. 21-year-old Landon Ford was operating a 4-wheeler along an unused railroad bed when he lost control at a right turn, causing him to be thrown from the vehicle. Ford was airlifted to Lutheran Hospital with lacerations and several fractures. According to state conservation officers, alcohol was not a factor in the crash, but the throttle and front brakes were found to be either not working or in disrepair, which may have been a factor. Ford was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
