Authorities Identify Fatal Crash Victim

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Authorities have identified the body of a man who was rescued from a pond after a crash in Huntertown.

 

The Allen County Coroner has identified the man as 32-year-old Elijah Tanner of Fort Wayne. According to police, he was driving on Lima Road just north of Hathaway in the early morning hours of June 5th, when he lost control of his van. The vehicle crossed the median, went off the roadway and landed in a pond. Tanner was taken to a local hospital where he later on died.

 

The cause and manner of his death are still pending and the incident remains under investigation.
