Hip Skip Injury Crash in Van Wert County

VAN WERT COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Officers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a hit skip crash that left one man injured.

 

According to police the crash happened Tuesday morning around 3:30 a.m., on US 127 near State Route 709. 66-year-old John Frame of Osceola, Indiana was driving a semi on 127 when he was hit by a red semi.

 

The red semi crossed the center line and hit Frame, disabling his vehicle. The red semi then left the scene.

 

Frame was treated on the scene for injuries and now police are currently looking for the driver of the red semi. They say the truck will have heavy damage to the driver’s side, with a missing driver’s door mirror and support bracket as well as green paint transfer.
