FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  A fall festival is aiming to help local animals find forever homes. 

Area Fort Wayne businesses are raising funds through the 1st annual Wing Fest at Headwaters Park.  The family-friendly event is Sunday, September 29th from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will benefit the Allen County SPCA.  Events include a Kids Zone sponsored by Crazy Pinz, live music performed by Hubie Ashcraft and The Drive, and a Hot Wing Eating Contest with cash prizes.  They'll also have a full service bar for adults 21 years of age and older.  

The event will have wings from WingStreet, Granite City, Beamer's Grill, Timmy's Barbecue, Quaker Steak & Lube, Applebee's, O'Reilly's, Coconutz, The Green Frog Inn and 4D's.  You can find out more by going to www.wingfestfw.com.
