NE Indiana Man Held After 2 Women Stabbed

ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): Police say an Angola man is being held on preliminary charges of murder and attempted murder following a double stabbing.

Steuben County Sheriff Tim Troyer says deputies responding to a domestic disturbance at a home late Saturday found one woman stabbed to death and another who was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition. The names of the women weren't immediately released, and the condition of the surviving woman was not clear Sunday.

Deputies arrested 49-year-old Jeffery Peppler of Angola. He was being held without bond in the Steuben County Jail, where records did not indicate whether he had an attorney.
