MERRIAM, Ind. (WOWO): A man is recovering from serious injuries after a motorcycle crash in Noble County.

According to the Journal Gazette, 21-year-old Derek Newcomer of Ligonier was riding his motorcycle on SB US-33. Newcomer had passed several vehicles and was crossing lanes when he hit the side of a vehicle, driven by 74-year-old Douglass Gibbs.

Gibbs's car drove off the highway and rolled into a ditch, then back into the road.

Newcomer also went off the road and was listed in serious condition as of Saturday afternoon.
