Southeast Fort Wayne Shooting Leaves Nine Injured

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A total of 9 people were hospitalized after a shooting in southeast Fort Wayne early Sunday morning.

The shooting took place around 1:15 in the morning on the 1400 block of Mcculloch Street.

When police arrived, they found six people suffering from gunshot wounds, with one woman taken to the hospital in critical condition. Her condition has since been upgraded to serious.

Three additional people suffering from gunshot wounds later walked into a local hospital, with one man in critical condition.

Police aren't sure what led to the shooting, but they do note in a press release that there was a party taking place at the home and a disturbance led up to the shooting.

No suspects are in custody and no weapons were recovered. Police say it's too early to tell if the shooting was gang related.
