Court Hears School Voucher Constitutionality Arguments

Indiana’s State Supreme Court has been called upon to decide whether or not the state’s school voucher program benefits religious institutions and if such a benefit would be constitutional.  According to an article in the Journal Gazette, opponents have argued that 97 percent of the participating schools are religious institutions that receive a direct benefit in the form of millions of dollars. Earlier this week, FWCS announced that it had lost more than 1,600 students to the program.
