SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WOWO): The Rev. Theodore Hesburgh will be recognized as an honorary Navy chaplain. The ceremony for the 95-year-old Hesburgh is scheduled for Wednesday at the University of Notre Dame. Hesburgh served 35 years as president of Notre Dame until he retired in 1987.
