INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ A man charged with plotting an explosion that killed two people and damaged more than 30 homes in Indianapolis wants to halt the case until the Indiana Court of Appeals can rule on a key issue.
 
  Mark Leonard says in court documents that prosecutors didn't properly file the charges against him and that he can't be sentenced to life without parole if he's convicted. 
 
  Leonard has also asked to be tried separately from the other two defendants. His requests were among several discussed at a court hearing Wednesday.
 
  Mark Leonard, his girlfriend, Monserrate Shirley, and his brother, Bob Leonard, are charged with murder and arson in the Nov. 10 blast on the south side of Indianapolis. Prosecutors say the three planned the explosion to collect insurance on Shirley's home.
