Ritz will be in Fort Wayne and South Bend today and has announced that she will work with Senator Susan Glick of LaGrange to draft legislation to launch a new veterans-to-teachers scholarship program, Second Service, that will expand the existing Combat to Classroom program that funds two and four year scholarships, and translate military training and experience into college credits that will assist Indiana vets in earning a degree in K-12 education from Indiana universities.
