Body of Elkhart Soldier to Arrive in N. Ind. Today

ELKHART, Ind. (AP): The body of an Army soldier from Elkhart who was killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan is headed back to northern Indiana.
 
The body of Staff Sergeant Jesse Williams is scheduled to arrive at South Bend Regional Airport at 9 o'clock this morning. Williams and five other soldiers died when a Black Hawk UH-60 helicopter went down December 17th during a mission in Zabul province.
 
After arriving in South Bend, the body will be taken to Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart.
 
The visitation for Williams is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. January 2nd at Granger Community Church in Mishawaka. The funeral will be 1 p.m. January 3rd at Granger Community Church. His body will be buried at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart.
