INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Republican Gov. Mike Pence has signed into law a series of measures passed by the General Assembly but he's leaving some of the bigger decisions until later this month.
As of Wednesday, the governor had signed about 30 measures include two dealing with state pensions and access to juvenile court records. He also has approved allowing the sale of alcohol at the Indiana State Fair and providing more aid to military families.
But many items dealing with taxes, education and other top priorities will have to wait. Pence is out of town for the week.
The governor has one week from the time he receives a bill to decide whether to sign it or veto it. If he does not sign the measure it automatically becomes law.
