Mishawaka Doctor, Daughter Jailed on Drug Dealing Charges

MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WOWO): A Mishawaka doctor and his daughter are in jail, having been charged with dealing drugs.

The St. Joseph County Prosecutors office says 65-year-old Dr. Charles Myers provided prescriptions for a patient in which he had a sexual relationship, as well as others who he hadn't seen or examined.

The patient told investigators Myers knew the prescriptions were for her personal use. Prosecutors say Myers' daughter, 30-year-old Autumn Myers, who works as his office manager, exchanged cash for drugs.

Both were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail after what the prosecutor called a lengthy investigation also involving the Indiana Attorney General's medical Fraud Unit, DEA and Mishawaka Police.
