SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (AP): A fire official says crews have extinguished most of a fire that left a central Indiana wood-treatment plant in ruins.
 
       Lt. Jeff Tennell of the Shelbyville Fire Department says crews continue spraying water on hot spots in Culpeper Wood Preservers' wood-treatment building. He says the building about 25 miles southeast of Indianapolis is considered a complete loss.
 
       Tennell says flames were shooting through the building's roof shortly after the blaze was reported about 4:20 a.m. Friday but crews doused the most intense flames within an hour.
 
       He says that due to concerns about chemicals used in the wood-treatment process, crews created dikes around the building to prevent water runoff from entering water drains and the nearby Big Blue River.
 
       The State Fire Marshal's office is now investigating the blaze.
