<span style=”font-family: Arial; font-size: 18px;”>CENTER POINT, Ind. (AP) – A western Indiana animal refuge is asking hunters to donate venison to help feed the more than 200 exotic cats housed there.

WTHI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1psiB83 ) the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Center Point uses between 3,000 and 4,000 pounds of meat a day. Refuge owner Joe Taft is asking hunters to bring deer carcasses or other major pieces of deer leftovers to the facility about 20 miles east of Terre Haute.

Taft says refuge workers also pick up dead livestock free of charge from farmers, but says the process is labor intensive and expensive because of gasoline prices. He says that without government spending the refuge must rely on community support.
