Police: Bank robbery suspect crashes car in Muncie chase…

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) – A suspect in a bank robbery has been arrested after leading police on a chase that began in Muncie and ended with a crash.
 
The Star Press reports the 43-year-old man was suspected in an armed robbery Thursday afternoon at Our Community Bank in Cloverdale, which is about 100 miles southwest of Muncie.
 
Police say they got a tip the man was staying in a Muncie hotel. According to authorities, the suspect led an Indiana State Police trooper on a chase from northwest Muncie into rural Delaware County. They say his car crashed into an embankment and he was arrested.
 
The newspaper says formal charges have not yet been filed.
