INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The 2016 race for Indiana governor could get interesting for state Democrats who hope to retake the office they last held more than a decade ago.
 
Former Indiana House Speaker John Gregg was expected to announce his campaign Thursday after tweeting that he would have “big news'' to share. A Gregg campaign could lead to a rematch with Republican Gov. Mike Pence, who narrowly defeated Gregg in 2012.
 
Embattled state schools Superintendent Glenda Ritz said Thursday she hasn't ruled out a run. Ritz is the lone Democrat in Pence's administration, and her Department of Education has clashed with the State Board of Education consisting largely of Pence appointees. Lawmakers voted Wednesday to shift some of Ritz's authority to the state board.
 
Pence hasn't indicated if he'll seek a second term.
