Indiana Offers Free Fishing this Weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If you are thinking about getting out and fishing, but you don‘t have a license to fish in Indiana, the state has you covered this weekend.

It‘s one of four free fishing weekends of the year that Phil Bloom, with the state‘s Department of Natural Resources says, is intended to remove the paperwork from an enjoyable outdoor activity.

If you go to a park with your kiddos on Saturday, you may get some bonus activities. It‘s national “Kids to Parks Day” which means extra programs like a “Blooming Bio-diversity Hike” at Indiana Dunes State Park, “Critter Feeding” at McCormack‘s Creek State Park, and various fishing and ranger programs and many other parks across the state.
