Memorial For Slain Indianapolis Woman Draws More Than 2K People

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): More than 2,000 people attended a memorial service for the pregnant wife of an Indianapolis pastor who was fatally shot during an apparent robbery at her home.

The service for 28-year-old Amanda Blackburn was held Sunday evening at Traders Point Christian Church in Whitestown. It was coordinated by four churches, including Resonate Church in Indianapolis, where her husband is a pastor, and NewSpring Church in South Carolina, where the couple belonged before moving in 2012 to found Resonate.

Pastor Perry Noble of NewSpring Church delivered the eulogy. A video presentation featuring Blackburn’s parents, Resonate church members and others also was shown during the hour-long service.

Blackburn died Wednesday at a hospital after the shooting Tuesday morning. She recently had announced she was 12 weeks pregnant with her second child.
