Disaster Relief Extended to Mercer County

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WOWO): Disaster relief for severe weather in June and July has been expanded to include Mercer and Darke Counties in Western Ohio.

U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) announced Friday the Small Business Administration will make low-interest loans available to homeowners, renters and business owners that suffered losses and from storms, tornadoes and flooding between June 7 and July 29.

A disaster outreach center has been set up at the Jay County Courthouse in Portland, Indiana to help applicants.  The center will remain open through Thursday.

Individuals and businesses unable to visit the Center in person may also obtain information and loan applications by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing), or by sending an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.

Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela or download the forms at www.sba.gov/disaster.

Completed applications should be returned to the Center or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
