Gov. Pence To Visit Shepherd’s House Tuesday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Governor Mike Pence will be back in Fort Wayne Tuesday to help open the doors on a place that helps our veterans.

The Governor will help cut the ribbon at Shepherd's House. He'll be joined by Steve Shine, Jane Surbeck, and Jay Miller, who is the Director of the VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System.

Shepherd's House opened in 1998 to help a population of homeless veterans who struggle with alcoholism and other dependencies. They also help veterans who struggle with PTSD and anxiety.

On Tuesday, they will open a handicapped accessible kitchen, a full dining room, and Serenity Gardens.
