SYRACUSE, Ind. (WOWO): A spider is being blamed for sparking a car-bus collision Friday afternoon in Kosciusko County. A nine-year-old boy was injured in the crash

Authorities say while backing the car from her driveway on Kosciusko County Road 1400 North, 35-year old Angela Kipp of Syracuse jumped from the vehicle after being frightened by the insect as it crawled on her shoulder.

As this happened, her nine-year-old son, climbed from the back to the driver's seat and attempted to press the brake, hitting the accelerator instead. The car then struck a Wawasee school bus.

The boy was found outside of the car following the crash with minor head injuries. He was hospitalized in stable condition
