USAF Thunderbirds to Perform at Fort Wayne Air Show

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne's Air Show has landed a signature flying act.

The Air Force's Thunderbirds have confirmed to WOWO News they will be among the lineup of acts September 10-11 at Fort Wayne International Airport.

The show is put on by the Indiana Air National Guards 122nd Fighter Wing.

A Thunderbirds spokesperson says six jets will perform in a show lasting about 45 minutes, based on weather conditions.

In the past, officials with the local guard unit say they hope to make it one of the best events in the country. They are shooting for more than 100,000 visitors to the show.
