FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The East Allen County Schools will be getting some better internet soon, but not without a cost.

The board has approved $400,000 worth of technology upgrades to improve internet access both in and outside district facilities.

The Journal Gazette says that’s not the price tag the district will be paying, though, since they’re expecting 80% of the costs to be covered through a federal reimbursement program, leaving the district on the hook for about $80,000.

The upgrades include 100 access points, two new routers, and a couple of wireless options.
