Karen Francisco talks with Charly Butcher about youth football and the state’s new abortion law

Karen Francisco, Editorial Page Editor for the Journal Gazette joined Charly Butcher on “Fort Wayne’s Morning News” to talk about the Sunday cover which pertains to an article about football, written by a Fort Wayne father whose sixth-grade son wanted to play. The father, worried about concussions, did a great deal of research and talked to local youth football coaches about what they are doing to protect kids. In short, the game has changed — Indiana has mandated concussion training for public school coaches, younger players are using a heads-up tackling approach, and more.

There is also an editorial on the state’s new abortion law, which is now the target of a lawsuit. An IU professor of law and expert in constitutional law tells us the state’s new law is clearly unconstitutional.
